Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

This policy covers AcediaMC: the Minecraft server at play.acediamc.com, this website, and our Discord. We collect what we need to run a fair server and nothing we have no use for. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

1. What we collect

When you play:

Your Minecraft username and UUID
Your IP address, recorded by our moderation and anti cheat systems
Playtime, sessions, statistics, and in game economy balances
Blocks you place and break, so grief can be rolled back
Public chat messages and commands, so rule breaking can be reviewed
Punishments issued to you and the reasons for them

When you make a website account: your username, email address, a hashed password, and the date you joined.

When you link Discord: your Discord user ID and username, so ranks can sync between the server and Discord.

When you buy something: what you bought, when, and the amount. Payment itself is handled by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details.

When an account is created automatically after a guest purchase: the email address given at checkout becomes the login for that account, along with the Minecraft username and UUID from the order. Nothing new is asked for, and no password is set — one is chosen only if you decide to use the account.

2. Why we collect it

To run the server, save your progress and deliver what you buy
To enforce the rules, investigate reports, and undo griefing
To detect ban evasion, alt abuse and proxy or VPN connections
To answer your support tickets and appeals
To keep leaderboards and statistics working

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build profiles for anyone else.

3. IP addresses

We record IP addresses because a Minecraft server cannot be moderated without them. They let us enforce bans, spot alternate accounts used for evasion, and identify proxies used to get around punishments.

IP addresses are visible only to staff, are never shown publicly, and are never shared for marketing.

4. Cookies

This website uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember your shopping cart, and remember your cookie choice. You are asked on your first visit and can decline anything not required to make the site work.

We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies.

5. Who we share it with

We share only what is needed for these services to function:

PayPal for payments
Discord if you link your account
Cloudflare, which fronts this website
Our email provider, to send account and purchase emails
Mojang and Microsoft, to verify that your Minecraft account is genuine

We will also disclose information where the law requires it. Otherwise, we do not pass your data to anyone.

6. How long we keep it

Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists, and purchase records for as long as tax and payment rules require
Block logs are kept for a limited window, long enough to reverse griefing
Punishment records are kept indefinitely, because a ban that expires from our records stops being enforceable
Statistics are kept while your account exists

7. Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your account and its data. Email [email protected] or open a ticket in our Discord.

If an account was created automatically after a guest purchase, it can be removed by replying to the email sent at the time, with no need to explain why.

Two honest limits. We cannot delete punishment records while a punishment stands, because that would let a ban be erased by request. And we cannot remove purchase records we are required to keep.

8. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. The website is served over HTTPS. Staff access to player data is limited to those who need it.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will say so plainly and quickly.

9. Where we operate

AcediaMC is operated from California, USA, and the data described here is stored and processed in the United States. If you play from another country, your information is transferred to and handled in the US.

10. Children

AcediaMC is not aimed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
