Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of AcediaMC: the Minecraft server at play.acediamc.com, this website at acediamc.com, and our Discord. By joining any of them you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Our Server Rules form part of these Terms. They apply in game, on this website and in our Discord.

We may warn, mute, kick, ban or remove access for breaking them. Staff decisions are made in good faith and are final unless overturned on appeal. You can appeal any punishment at acediamc.com/appeal.

• Website accounts are created in game with /register. There is no sign up form on this website. One is also created automatically after a guest purchase — see Purchases below.
• You must give a working email address. If you register in game you confirm it yourself; an account created after a guest purchase uses the address that already received your receipt.
• You are responsible for your account and for anything done with it. Do not share your login.
• Do not impersonate other players or staff.
• Alternate accounts used to evade a punishment will be banned along with the original.
• If you let someone else use your account, these Terms apply to them too, and you remain responsible for what they do with it. Punishments follow the account.

Everything in our store is a digital item inside a game. Ranks, crate keys, coins, kits and cosmetics have no real world value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are licensed to you for use on AcediaMC rather than sold as property.

• Prices are in US dollars. Payments are handled by PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
• You must be online in game when a purchase completes. Crate keys and most items are real items placed into your inventory. If nobody is there to receive them, the purchase completes and you get nothing.
• If you check out as a guest, delivery goes to the exact Minecraft username you typed. If you mistype it, contact us. We will not refund the order, but we will redeliver it to the correct account once we can confirm it was yours.
• When you buy as a guest, a website account is created automatically using the email address you gave at checkout, so the purchase is saved against it and counts towards upgrade pricing. You will get an email when this happens. You did not sign up for it, you do not have to use it, and if you would rather not have one, reply to that email and it will be deleted. Your rank works either way.
• Delivery is usually immediate and can take up to 15 minutes.

If something you paid for does not arrive, open a ticket in our Discord and we will put it right.

Ranks, kits, crates and their contents may be rebalanced, renamed or replaced as the server changes. We will not remove something you paid for out of spite, but we cannot promise any item keeps the same stats, price or perks forever. Where a change materially reduces something you recently bought, contact us and we will make it right.

Some products, such as Patron Membership, are subscriptions rather than one-off purchases. A subscription renews automatically at the price and interval shown on its store page, and keeps renewing until it is cancelled.

• You can cancel at any time. The quickest way is in PayPal, under Manage automatic payments, where you can stop the recurring payment yourself. You can also ask our staff in Discord and we will cancel it for you.
• Cancelling stops future charges. Access continues until the end of the term you have already paid for, then ends automatically.
• Keeping the subscription cancelled once you no longer want it is your responsibility, and so is keeping your PayPal account in good standing.
• A renewal that has already been taken is not refunded, but tell us and we will cancel the subscription so it does not happen again.
• If a renewal fails, the subscription ends and the rank is removed at the end of the paid term.

Purchases are final. Because items are delivered instantly and cannot be taken back once used, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, for being banned, or for items you no longer want.

We would rather fix a problem than argue about one. If a purchase failed, arrived wrong, or was lost to a fault on our side, contact us and we will replace it or refund it.

AcediaMC is provided as is. We run it carefully and keep backups, but we cannot promise it will always be online, error free, or free of data loss.

We may change, add or remove features, worlds, plugins, ranks and items, and we may reset worlds where it is necessary for the health of the server. We will give notice of anything major where we reasonably can.

We may close the server. If we do, purchases already made are not refundable, and we will say so as far in advance as we are able.

We are not responsible for downtime or loss caused by things outside our reasonable control, including failures at our host or network provider, attacks on the server, power or internet outages, changes made by Mojang or Microsoft, or natural events.

We rely on products operated by other companies, including Mojang and Microsoft, PayPal, Discord, and our hosting and network providers. Those have their own terms and can change, break or go down without notice to us. An interruption caused by one of them is not a failure on our part.

AcediaMC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang, Microsoft or Discord.

To the fullest extent the law allows, AcediaMC and its staff are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost items, lost progress, or lost profit. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the issue arose.

Nothing here removes rights you have by law. Some places give consumers rights that an agreement cannot take away. Where those apply to you, they stand.

These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from AcediaMC, are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA and the federal laws of the United States that apply there, without regard to conflict of laws rules.

Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and by using AcediaMC you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

AcediaMC is operated from the United States. If you play from elsewhere you do so by your own choice, and you are responsible for following the laws where you are. Nothing in this section removes consumer rights that the law where you live does not allow to be signed away.

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
